Whittney Gaines

Born in California, but raised in Columbus, IN, I am a  graduate of CEHS, received my BS In Communication Studies and Criminal Law from Indiana State University in 2008 and is set to begin my  Graduate program in May where I am seeking my Masters in Special Education. I have an extensive career in the social work field which has included employment with Turning Point DV Shelter, Department of Child Services and Brighter Days homeless shelter.

I now  teach Digital Communications at Central Middle School. I will begin teaching Special Education at Central this fall. When I am not teaching, I spend my time with my  husband and 5 children, 3 of which have special needs,  or advocating for inclusion and social justice with one of several community organizations that I belong to.
